[Does as he's told and sits. He doesn't know what he's doing, or what TO do. All he knows is that he feels like he's dying, and he doesn't know if that feeling is going to go away. He shifts uncomfortably in his chair for a moment, before looking over at her]

I've really screwed things up.

[She pulls up a chair of her own, but doesn't sit just yet. She just nods, because she can't really disagree.]

Can I get you anything?

Water. Water would be good.

[She leaves him long enough to pour two glasses of water, one for each of them, then returns to hand him his and take a seat.]

[reaches for the glass and sips the water slowly, not putting the glass down until he feels his hand start to shake a bit]

I don't know if Dean's going to trust me again.

[manorsuperman]

He will. It'll take a lot of time and effort from both of you, but he will.

He died for me, Lana. And in return, I do ... this. How can he forgive me for that?

[there's a beat as he takes another sip of the water]

I can't forgive me for that.

[manorsuperman]

He's your family, Sam. It's not something that goes away. [a beat] And can I just reiterate that the deal he made to bring you back was just as moronic and kind of started all this in the first place?

[imnot_likeyou]

[there's a half laugh, before he shakes his head]

He didn't, I wouldn't be sitting in your kitchen right now. In fact, I wouldn't be sitting anywhere at all.

[a bit a grin]

And as glad as I am that you are, it doesn't make dealing with demons any better. [holds up a hand] Just putting that out there.

[shakes his head]

Believe me, I don't want him doing it again. But ... not all of it was bad.

I'm just going to assume you mean meeting me.

[teasing. and also finally drinking a little of her own water]

I guess not.

[sighs softly]

I still don't think I'm out of the woods yet.

[another drink of water before she leans forward]

Why didn't you stay there, Sam? You were good where you were.

Right. Stay locked in an iron box with my own worst nightmares playing in high definition. I was awesome.

[manorsuperman]

You look pretty awesome. [It's sarcasm, but there's a softness to it.]

[there's a half-laugh at that]

I think I just need a shower. Maybe some sleep.

[ She nods. ]

Could you do me a favor, though?

[imnot_likeyou]

Anything.

[manorsuperman]

Don't go running off on me, 'kay? You worry me enough as it is.

[he looks up, shaking his head.]

I'm not going anywhere.

[ Lana stands and presses a gentle kiss to his forehead. ]

Finish that glass, then wash, rest, whichever order you wanna go in. I'll come check on you in a couple of hours.

[He nods, throwing back the glass, before getting up.]

I'll go hop in the shower.

[ And Lana will take the glass to the sink, then pour herself that a cup of coffee. She's pretty sure she'll need it. ]

[And with that he heads off to the shower and will probably crash out hard. There may be nightmares, but he'll do his best to muddle his way through them.]
